Administrative Training Coordinator

Allegheny HealthChoices, Inc. (AHCI) is a non-profit with a mission to assure equitable access to quality, cost-effective behavioral health care that promotes positive clinical outcomes, recovery, and resiliency. Formed in 1999, AHCI’s role has evolved from monitoring and oversight to that of a partner and consultant in system planning and evaluation, project management, data management and analysis, and recovery.

We are currently seeking an Administrative Training Coordinator to support the delivery of evidence-based practices, and behavioral health training and interventions. The ideal candidate will have experience in promoting behavioral health recovery concepts, a teamwork-oriented approach, the ability to work with diverse groups, and a great sense of humor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Ensure all training requests are received, organized, and responded to in a timely fashion.
  • Coordinate arrangements for trainings, including securing the site, finalizing training dates, and communicating with trainers and attendees.
  • Manage inventory of supplies for all trainings, as well as databases for data collection, tracking, and analysis.
  • Maintain training registration website with all up-to-date and relevant information.
  • Conduct basic evaluation and data analysis.
  • Travel, as needed, throughout Allegheny County, PA to promote and market Mental Health First Aid, and to provide related trainings to the public. Reliable transportation is required.
  • Coordinate activities for the Recovery Conference.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human services, public health or related field, or related discipline or equivalent work experience. Experience in community behavioral health preferred.
  • Certification to provide Mental Health First Aid training is expected.
  • Proficiency with Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Recorder for Clinical Programs and Practices

Formed in 1999, AHCI’s role has evolved from monitoring and oversight to that of a partner and consultant in system planning and evaluation, project management, data management and analysis, and recovery.

Community Support Planning (CSP) is a collaborative process that provides an opportunity for individuals residing in a supervised environment to express their needs and wants. This is process works toward developing strategies and securing resources to support the person for successful transition and living in the community. The CSP Process promotes independence and recovery through hope, empowerment, and coordinated care. The Recorder is a valuable member of the team that assists all meeting participants to focus on tasks associated with the development of the CSP. The Recorder keeps detailed notes and completes the comprehensive plan while being organized, demonstrating strong writing skills, and with a focus on mental health and recovery principles. The ideal candidate will need to have reliable transportation to multiple sites, including Torrance State Hospital. Flexibility will also be critical as there will be a varying schedule and number of hours, although, on average, candidates can expect about 40-80 hours per month. This person reports to the Manager of Program Consultation and interfaces with consumers of behavioral health services, network providers, funders, and other stakeholders on a regular basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Attend planning meetings in a variety of mental health and residential facilities.
  • Successfully collaborate with all members of the CSP process to foster a culture of engagement and creative problem solving.
  • Offer objectivity through review of assessments, keen observation, and thorough documentation.
  • Ensure timely completion of Community Support Plans within 3 business days of the final planning meeting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services related field or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality for sensitive materials, be flexible and dependable, empathic, and work with a diverse, multicultural audience.
  • Superior written and organizational skills with minimal supervision to complete work in a timely manner.
  • Superior listening skills to identify important content during meetings, identify tasks, and transfer information into the Community Support Plan document.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and basic Excel.

Director of Analytics

Innovation and quality improvement within the community behavioral health system is led by the AHCI Director of Analytics. The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative and leadership skills, possess the ability to learn new issues and tools rapidly, and be able to communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences. Deep intellectual curiosity and a commitment to successful outcomes in a fast-paced field that often presents challenges on a daily basis are essential to success in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Relentlessly lead the charge of identifying and then answering the most important questions facing the behavioral health system
  • Successfully manage AHCI’s entire portfolio of analytics projects— ranging from reporting to data visualization and predictive modeling— producing technically unassailable analysis and reliable, high-quality solutions
  • Ensure that complex findings are synthesized and translated into clear and compelling deliverables for AHCI clients and a wide array of system stakeholders
  • Foster a culture that empowers, motivates and engages staff, providing guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Build collaborative partnerships between clients, managed care organizations, providers, and other system stakeholders

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Public Administration/Policy, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of five (5) years prior experience working within a behavioral health/managed care setting, or experience conducting analysis using health insurance data. A minimum of 2 years prior management experience
  • Knowledge of behavioral health service models and strategies, including program administration and quality measurement
  • Exceptional quantitative, research, and written communication skills including the ability to complete succinct briefs, executive summaries, and lengthy reports
  • Demonstrated creative problem solving skills in the design, execution, interpretation, and presentation of quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, along with Qlik or other data/visualization tools; Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of humor, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and competing deadlines with a focus on results
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics and machine learning concepts and techniques
